Calmer Day

I did get to hang out in the hammock with Dan last night. We had some good talks!

Today has not been so random and crazy like the rest of the week, which is nice. I went for brunch at my friend Lindsay's house and then came home and searched the internet for another part-time job. As soon as I'm done this, I'll go put together some resumes and head out. I'm also going camping this weekend, which I'm extremely excited about, so I'll have to pack for that! I'm hoping we'll do some hiking. It will be wonderful to see all of God's beauty out in Jasper!

At Bible study we're going through Philippians and so I've been thinking about these verses (they follow quite nicely with all the other things I'm learning this summer):
"...that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death" (1:20)
"For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain" (1:21)

I sure want Christ to be exalted in me and through me. And really, where is life outside of Christ? To live IS Christ. To be so completely caught up in these things is the best thing in the whole world! I see more and more how incredibly messed up I am and how I think I'll never attain to these things... but right now I know I can live in Christ, and at this moment He can be exalted through my actions, thoughts and attitudes.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Is the little fella you look after anything like Christopher Boone?
Liked the post about the troubled little bug by the way! Nature contains all sorts of funny stories.

My little buddy isn't much like Christopher Boone. As far as I can tell, anyway. It's hard to know what they're thinking when they don't communicate with you. But I love the little guy.
